2013, May 14 : YDC2's Media Request Tool makes sending large digital files easy, reliable, and trackable

YDC2's Media Request Tool makes it easy for the cultural heritage media management community at Yale to send large digital files to collaborators across the globe.  The tool, developed by YDC2 and seamlessly integrated into Yale's Media Management environment, allows users to send images, audio, and video with their accompanying metadata to external participants.  Read more about the Media Request Tool <

2013, April 05 : YDC2 Imaging Lab Opens!

Over 150 collaborators and onlookers crowded the Collections Study Center corridors to share in the ribbon cutting ceremony, open house and reception marking the official opening of the Yale Digital Collections Center Imaging Lab and the Center for Conservation and Preservation research labs. 

2013, March 04 : Michael Appleby Presents at New Directions for Digital Scholarship

Michael Appleby, YDC2's Senior Developer delivered a presentation titled "Digitally Enabled Scholarship with Medieval Manuscripts" at the New Directions for Digital Scholarship conference on Digital Humanities held on March 1st, 2013 at the Sterling Memorial Library at Yale University.   

2013, March 01 : Carly Bogen Joins YDC2 as Project Manager
The Yale Digital Collection Center (YDC2) is delighted to announce that Carly Bogen has joined the office as project manager. Carly will manage a portfolio of projects involving the continuing development of the YDC2 Content Platform for cultural heritage and cultural heritage research projects. She will work closely with the Yale community to coordinate all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation, to development, deployment, support and maintenance. Please join us in giving Carly a warm welcome to Yale.
2013, February 25 : YDC2 and Beinecke Rare Books and Manuscripts Library Host Workshop for Digitally Enabled Scholarship with Medieval Manuscripts

Representatives from Stanford University, Drew University, and St. Louis University joined the YDC2, Yale faculty and graduate students at a workshop for the Digitally Enabled Scholarship with Medieval Manuscripts (DESMM) project hosted by the Beinecke Rare Books and Manuscripts Library.  Meg Bellinger, Director of YDC2 and Co-Principal Investigator presented on the Yale Digital Content Platform and how it will provide support for research into digital manuscript collections.
