YDC2 Imaging Lab Opens!
April 5, 2013
Over 150 collaborators and onlookers crowded the Collections Study Center corridors to share in the ribbon cutting ceremony, open house and reception marking the official opening of the Yale Digital Collections Center Imaging Lab and the Center for Conservation and Preservation research labs. Participants were treated to a behind the scenes look at the beautifully designed labs. Tours through the Imaging Lab included live demonstrations of the advanced capabilities in 3D acquisition, hyperspectral imaging, reflectance transformation, infinity walls, large format photo studios and much more. The Imaging Lab is the first step in a long-term vision to create a comprehensive digitization and scientific imaging capacity for the University’s cultural and natural heritage collections.
