YDC2 Announces 2014 Content Platform Architecture

July 24, 2013

The Yale Digital Collections Center is pleased to announce important new capabilities planned for the YDC2 Content Platform for this fiscal year. YDC2 is extending the Content Platform to support Cultural Heritage Data Management, Linked Data, and Content Channel distribution to the ArtStor Digital Library.

Today's announcement is a continuation of YDC2’s sustainable approach to developing and maintaining a powerful digital content infrastructure that is integrated to existing collection management systems. The digital information architecture anticipates the trajectory of communities of practice, content development, policy and practice, and emerging technology. It delivers sustainability through a flexible and modular design that easily incorporates new technologies while anticipating the end-of-life for aging systems.
